High quality additives and solutions for the building industry

Los éteres de celulosa Headcel son el principal aditivo en todos los materiales de construcción en base cemento y yeso aportando retención de agua, tixotropía, consistencia, trabajabilidad, antideslizamiento y mejorando la adhesión y el tiempo abierto.

Headcel grades range from pure cellulose ethers to the most highly modified types and from very low viscosity to higher for use in different applications covering the entire product range regarding redispersible mixtures within the construction world (mortars, monolayers, masonry mortars, tail cements, self-levelling, gypsum, joints for plasterboard panels, ETICS systems…) In addition to Headcel cellulose ethers, we offer a wide range of raw materials to cover all needs and get through the same channel all the products for your production.

Products

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC)

Enhances water retention capacity, leading to an increase in open time, viscosity, and workability.

Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (HEMC)

Offers greater water retention than HPMC, increased solubility compared to HPMC, and a higher gelling temperature.

Ethylene vinyl acetate resin

Redispersible resins improve chemical binding properties, mechanical resistance, and flexibility.

Starch ethers

Enhance mortar rheology, prolong workability, and prevent sagging.

Calcium formate

Is a frequently used accelerator in facade mortars and cementitious adhesives, particularly during winter construction to prevent slow setting caused by low temperatures.

Calcium estearate

Water-repellent additive that helps minimizing water absorption by capillarity in cured mortars.

Sodium oleate

Waterproofing function that minimizes the absorption of water by the capillarity of the hardened mortar.

Xiloxane

Its water-repelling properties help minimize water absorption by capillarity in cured mortars, improve UV resistance, and preserve the pearl effect.

Tartaric acid

“Retardant that allows hardening control from minutes to several hours.”

Polyvinyl alcohol

PVA has excellent film forming, emulsifying and adhesive properties.

Polypropylene fibre

Polypropylene fibres help to avoid microcracking, caused by the initial shrinkage of the mortar due to drying during the mortar setting.

Defoamer

Anti-foaming agents are preferably used for the prevention and removal of large air inclusions on the surface of mortar or concrete.

Polycarboxylate

They are additives that reduce the amount of water needed in mortar or concrete, increasing its workability while maintaining the same water/cement ratio.
